Built in the 1930’s, the Giraffe Manor offers something that other accommodations do not – a full immersive experience with giraffes during your stay. Set on 12 acres of private land within 140 acres of indigenous forest, this luxury boutique hotel is home to a wide array of animals including bushbuck, dik dik, warthogs, 180 species of birds and of course – giraffes.
The hotel was modelled on a Scottish hunting lodge and is designed with a mix of traditional and modern elegance, inspired by the manor’s original 1930’s decor. After checking out the available accommodations on their website, the Karen Blixen suite looks like it would be perfect for families. The room offers direct access to the courtyard which opens onto the giraffe sanctuary.
You can choose to eat your meals in the manor’s dining room or at your own table under the stars. Breakfast is served in the sun room which offers huge windows that open up allowing the giraffes to join you. Absolutely incredible!
