Marni For H&M, the collection we have all been waiting for has arrived! Consuelo Castiglioni, the founder and creative director of Marni has created this line to capture the essence of Marni. She has revisited all of their favourite pieces in signature fabrics and prints and mixed modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic, adding sporty utilitarian elements for both men and women.
For women, the colours are vivid, and the prints are bold, be they African-inspired or simpler colour blocks. The silhouettes are all Marni staples, with full pleated skirts, dresses, cropped pants and jacquard knits; fabrics range from silk to crisp cotton poplin. To complete the look, the collection also includes jewelry, shoes, bags and scarves.
The fabrics and prints are perfect for travel and remind me a little of resort wear. Besides the obvious perk of this line (hello it’s MARNI!), the prices are great. 100% silk dresses run at $80 while accessories range from $9.99 to $19.99. Shoes start at $59.95 and bags at $39.95.
Last month Drew Barrymore, Winona Ryder and Milla Jovovich were among the guests who attended a party to celebrate the launch of Marni at H&M. Held in a beautiful Hollywood residence, the event was hosted by Marni’s Founder and Creative Director, Consuelo Castiglioni, the Director of the Marni at H&M campaign, Sofia Coppola and Margareta van den Bosch, H&M´s Creative Advisor. As well as Drew, Winona and Milla, other guests arriving at the party dressed in Marni at H&M included Jessica Chastain, Freida Pinto and Andrea Riseborough.
