Today’s Parent is hosting an exciting challenge for parents and kids in partnership with LEGO® DUPLO®, the preschool building toys specially-designed for the small hands and big imaginations of children aged 1½ – 5 years and guess what? It starts today and we are taking part!
Using several kits such as My First Supermarket, My First Fire Station, My First Zoo, DUPLO Large Brick Box, Play with Numbers and Play with Letters, tots, moms and dads can get together and put their game face on.
Since we received the LEGO® DUPLO® blocks last week, my kids have not stopped playing with them. They have ignored their dolls which in itself is a complete and total miracle. I guess it shouldn’t really be surprising considering how iconic LEGO® is in itself. My husband was raised with these little building blocks before they even came out with the DUPLO® versions.
From today until April 10th, Today’s Parent will be posting daily challenges and new ways to play using the LEGO® DUPLO® kits mentioned above. Canadian moms can take part in the challenge or even submit their very won “play challenge” for the chance to win a trip for four to LEGOLAND® Parks (Florida or California). To top it all off, if you ‘share’ your creations through social media such as your Twitter or Facebook accounts, you will gain an additional entry and LEGO® DUPLO® will donate up to $8000 in toys to Make-A-Wish® Canada.
Would love if you would join me and my family during this challenge! As you can see in the photo above, we completed the very first one this morning. It was a family effort and super fun for everyone! I will be sharing at least 20 of our creations through my social media channels such as Twitter, Facebook, Google + and Pinterest (hope I can get all 30 finished, but 20 is my goal).
To kick off this exciting campaign, Mom Central Canada is hosting a Twitter party tonight, Monday February 27th at 8:30pm EST, where they will be talking about the 30 Days of Play Challenge and given away a whole slew of prizes. The hashtag for the event is #LegoDuplo.
Disclosure – I am participating in the LEGO® DUPLO® program by Mom Central Canada. I received compensation for my participation in this campaign. The opinions on this blog are my own.
