Crayola Is Set To Unveil Some Really Cool & Creative Products At The 2011 Toy Fair In NYC!

This weekend many will be attending the American International Toy Fair in New York City, where the latest and greatest toys for 2011 will be unveiled. Crayola is set to debut their brand new line of creative play activities and let me tell you, some of them are just too cool!

Crayola has turned bubbles into different colors, created shiny metal paper, glow in the dark sand and chalk and designed a coloring book for the iPad. Pretty cool, huh?

“For us, unleashing the wonder and dreams in every child begins with color,” said Mike Perry, president and chief operating officer, Crayola LLC. “Transforming the wonder of the imagination into visible form is even more exciting for children when they are creating with colors that do incredible and unexpected things like glow or float in the air.”

The line-up will include:

  • Glow Explosion Sand Art Sculptures – a brand new way for kids to create bright and magical glow-in-the-dark sand art.
  • Washable Glow Chalk – colored chalk that glows up to 4 hours!
  • Washable Colored Bubble Launcher allows children to create a bubble storm in crazy colors like screamin’ green, sunset orange, purple pizzazz, wild blue yonder and pink flamingo. The bubbles are completely washable and remove easily from clothing, sidewalks and driveaways.
  • Crayola Story Studio Comic Maker: Spiderman, Crayola Story Studio Fairy Tale Maker: Disney Princess and Crayola Story Studio Adventure Maker: Disney-Pixar Cars 2. These new kits are web based and use facial recognition software to allow children to morph their own photos into customizable cartoon characters. Although not a ‘new’ product they have introduced new versions. Last year after Story Studio’s initial launch, Oppenheim Toy Portfolio awarded them “Best High Tech Toy for 2010”.
  • The Crayola ColorStudio™ HD turns your iPad into an interactive coloring book using colors from the Crayola 64 box, and technology from Griffin. Kids can not only color, they can also interact with special ‘live’ animated coloring book pages that move.
  • Mess Free Color Wonder Metallic Paper magically reveals a metallic surface once you use the Mess Free Color Wonder markers. Kids can finally create tiaras, crowns and robots that look realistic thanks to this new technology. Colors shift and change when the paper is moved side to side.
  • Crayola’s 3D Dry-Erase Activity Set allows kids to create dimensional images that pop with no need for 3D glasses.

The New Crayola Glow Explosion Sand Art Sculptures, Washable Glow Chalk, Mess Free Color Wonder Metallic Paper, Washable Colored Bubbles and the 3D Dry-Erase Activity Set will be available nationwide beginning this month. The Crayola ColorStudio HD and iMarker will be available in April, and the Crayola Story Studio series of activity kits will be in stores beginning Aug. 1.
