It is seldom that I come across a book that I just know everyone will love. By everyone, I mean men, women, teens, children, grandparents, aunts, uncles – everyone.
Our society is so obsessed with looks, exterior beauty, weight, occupations and other aspects that really don’t matter. Beauty is in different. That is what makes us all individuals, that is what makes us interesting.
Of course, leave it to one of the most talented photographers (and a women I admire greatly) Karen Walrond, to write such a book. She wrote The Beauty of Different to capture the uniqueness, individuality and beauty of people who are different. Karen is a Momversation panelist and has appeared on media outlets such as CNN and The Oprah Winfrey Show, you can view her entire bio on her website Chookooloonks.
What many people don’t understand is that ordinary is actually extraordinary. Thanks to her inspiring essays and stunning photography, Karen captures the extraordinary in such a way that you can literally feel through every flip of every page.
Karen is generously giving our readers a chance to win one (1) copy of her book The Beauty of Different. For those of you who can’t wait for the contest to end, check out Amazon.com where you can have it shipped just in time for Christmas!
