Exciting news in the Children’s fashion world for you today as Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi recently announced that they are working on a ‘Mini Preen’ range for children! The British ‘Preen’ designers range has evolved from a bijoux Portobello Rd boutique here in the UK to an influential, highly fashionable label whose power punk cocktail dresses have graced the catwalk in style at New York Fashion week.
This week it has been reported that the talented design duo are currently in the process of developing a new children’s line inspired by their own daughter Fauve who is almost 2 yrs old, and the realization that there was not enough stylish clothing for children at affordable prices out there.
Thornton confirmed to ‘The Cut’ ”We’re taking our time with it. We have a daughter who’s nearly two, and Thea would like to literally do tiny versions of our clothes — like Mini Preen, minus the cocktail dresses.”
The new range is sure to be a hit in fashionable circles and aims to provide cool, practical pieces of clothing to children which there is certainly always a market for in our opinion.
Bragazzi comments “Since having Fauve, I realized there is just not that much great children’s wear out there”
As of yet there has been no confirmed date for the Preen Children’s line but if you’re looking forward to it as much as us then keep your ear firmly to the ground as these will surely be flying off the shelves. I can’t wait to see the designs and the looks that they have in mind for this line and how similar they will be to the ‘grown up’ Preen range.
