The holidays are just around the corner, and one of my favorite things to do during this period of time is to hit up Etsy and look around for handmade goodies to gain some gift giving inspiration. What better way to feel good about holiday shopping than to buy from someone that is crafting work using their own hands, and putting a ton of love into every item they create?

Another habit that I seem have gotten myself into is spacing out staring at the adorable clothing for little girls. Regular readers may know that I am a proud mom of two little boys. I love being a mom to boys, and 99% the time I don’t think twice about having a third and maybe one day being a mom to a girl. The other 1% comes into play during this space out time on Etsy!

Many of you may have heard of the name Jill McDonald in the past, and if you haven’t, you have certainly seen her work. She is a Missouri based Illustrator who has accomplished quite a lot in the seven years she has been specializing in children’s art. She has had her work featured at Babies ‘R’ Us in the form of crib sets, and also sells her work over at Land of Nod among others.

As if she weren’t busy enough, I’ve just learned that she has taken on a new venture – Tada by Jill McDonald – an Etsy shop! Growth charts, wall cards and posters are the focus of Tada, and much like anything else she has done, it is whimsical and so appealing to the eye.

A great aspect of this art is the fact that much of it is educational. The wall cards feature inspirational words and incorporate a fun way of learning that will ensure your children will never forget the names of the States or the American presidents! I love the boldness and bright colors of each print, and they are unique enough to be the main focus of a room that you can plan the rest of your decor around.

We have featured many different types of reusable wall art in the past, however, I just stumbled on a company on Etsy that truly captures the essence of whimsy and fun and I had to share! Los Angeles-based designers Pop & Lolli use fun characters and bold designs that are full of personality to perfectly suit the care-free attitude of children.

This line is unique from others of its kind as it allows for mixing and matching. The designs are all in a similar theme, so you can change things up if you feel that the room needs a change. Not only are they unique this way, but they are also PVC-free and are made using fabric!

Another thing I love about these fun designs is that they are so colourful that they allow for completely white walls in the background. I love white walls, but I shy away from them in bedrooms fearing they might create a cold environment. Every now and then I come across and Etsy shop which makes me oooh and ahhh out loud. Rosemary’s Cuppa is definitely one of those shops and once you browse through her adorable little pint-sized skirts, you might just be ooohing and ahhhing along with me!

Made in Bloomington, Indiana, by the oh so talented Abra Clampitt, each skirt from Rosemary’s Cuppa is a delight to behold and is sure to make a statement each time they’re donned by your petite fashionista. The colours and designs are bright, eye-catching and completely cute!
