It’s official! All four of Disney Cruise Line’s ships will be sailing from Florida ports in the early part of 2015. Every cruise departing from January to April will include a stop at Castaway Cay, Disney’s own island in the Bahamas! Bookings will open to the public tomorrow (November 14). Disney Fantasy, the fourth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet was christened last night during an incredible star-studded christening celebration at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. Mariah Carey took center stage for the christening moment and served as the ship’s godmother. Similar to the famed New Year’s Eve celebrations in Times Square, Carey led the audience in a countdown that triggered a 6-foot tall bottle of champagne in the Atrium Lobby to erupt and shower onlookers with confetti and streamers as a traditional bottle of champagne broke against the ship’s hull. Those of you waiting for the Disney Fantasy Cruise Ship to make it’s debut, will be excited to hear that the final building block was placed last week at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. The final block placed was a 265-ton portion of the ship’s bow, complete with the signature Disney Cruise Line golden filigree.
