Boys are often left out, when it comes to fashion and style. The clothing is usually quite typical and lacks that certain je ne sais quoi. Why should girls have all the fun? Captain Monkey was created for the very purpose to dress boys to impress, and  I have to say they definitely hit their mark with this collection!

When I received “The Hamlet” one of the shirts from Captain Monkey’s Spring 2010 line, I was charmed. First off, the clothing is made from machine washable, high quality cotton. The buttons on the Hamlet are actually decorative pearl-like snaps that aren’t only chic, but make it easy for little men to dress themselves. The collar, cuffs and inside edging are all lined in a brown and blue stripe fabric that peaks out when worn, giving personality and “attitude” to the top. On the bottom left side corner, the words Peace & Love are embroidered in brown thread, really tying everything together.

I like reversible jackets because, well, they cover up spills nicely and “transform” into a new jacket when needed. Dolce & Gabbana has put together a great sporty version of the classic reversible this season with ‘D&G Born to Succeed’ appliqued on the red side. The reversed grey jersey side has the slogan print on the back as well as ‘D&G’ embroidered on the chest.

Ribbed cuffs and hems keep out chills and the detachable hood can easily be removed with the zipper.
