If you are a new mom and planning a camping trip with your infant or toddler (or even big kid!) for the first time this summer, you may want to read up on helpful tips and tricks for braving it in the outdoors with your little one. I am in the process of doing this now, so I thought I would share a few things with you all.
Everyone is waiting on pins and needles for the arrival of Prince William and his wife Catherine’s first child – the Royal Baby! Since they tied the knot a couple of years ago everyone’s been talking about the impending birth of the future heir or heiress to the throne and now that time is nigh!
San Antonio is a wonderful spot for families. A couple of years ago we took a visit to this rich city and marvelled at the incredible history and culture there. It’s definitely a must-visit. This summer is a fabulous time to do so as San Antonio will be turning into a citywide playground for kids and families when they host their first-ever Kidcation Week. Running from August 12-18, this will provide families with the opportunity to have one last big adventure before school starts. In addition to entertainment, events, activities and programming, there will be lots of deals and offers on local hotels, attractions, shops and restaurants.
Relaxed fabrics, patterns, and textures define the resort-inspired lifestyle brand of Roberta Roller Rabbit, by designer Roberta Freymann, and I am loving every print of it for this summer! The above loose, flow-y kurtas are perfect for your daughter or son for a picnic, a beach or pool throw, or relaxing during summer vacation. Prints include (from top to bottom) Sardinia, Bahia, and Charlie in both of the colors shown. My son would love pointing at the fish and making lip smacking sounds all day, though he is too small to fit them as of yet.
Nowhere is Canadian patriotism on display more proudly than in Downtown Ottawa on Canada Day, and if you’ve got the stamina you can participate from morning to late at night. Start the day watching the Changing of the Guard on Parliament Hill at 9am. From there the day is yours to seize. At noon there is the Canada Day Show which broadcasts live across Canada. Watch our history come alive with the Inspection of the Guard and a 21-Gun Salute. Buskers and entertainers can be found as you stroll along the closed-to-traffic streets. Next door at Major’s Hill Park you can embrace Canada’s many cultures with displays and performances throughout the day. Also, don’t miss the annual Chicken Barbecue found here as well.
June is the “Month of the Dad” in our home. I’ve got May, he’s got June.
I wrote my husband a letter on Father’s Day which pretty much sums up how I feel about him and what he means to our family. He’s our rock and the foundation of our home. Everything I do in my personal and professional life is because of his encouragement and faith in me. He is my inspiration and my children’s idol.
We often hear so much from the moms, but I thought it might be fun to do a little Q&A with my husband. Sometimes a father’s perspective can give an entire new outlook on things. So without further adieu, here are some Dad to Dad Tips. I think we might be on to something…
