I’m all for buying products made in North America, in fact I have a post brewing about Fair Trade and locally sourced products. The brand ShoeString Shoes™ has just announced the launch of their new  United Shoes of America™ shoe line, the only children’s sneaker brand made entirely from U.S. materials and components. Featuring styles with red, white and blue colors, the collection will debut July 4th at select online and retail locations including Lively Kids and  Additionally, it will be available at later in July. Unlike many locally produced fashions, these shoes won’t cost you an arm and a leg. […] Continue reading →

strawberry donut sundae

Strawberry shortcake is and always has been one of my favourite desserts of all time. The texture, flavour and the sweetness is just perfection! There’s something about the combination of creaminess, sweet tart berries and soft cake that just make me oh so happy! Smucker’s® recently put together some “Ice Cream Truck Favorites” – recipes inspired by ice cream truck classics – using the Smucker’s Ice Cream Toppings. I’m sure you’ve seen them in your local supermarket as they are quite popular! The toppings come in chocolate, caramel, strawberry and their famous Smucker’s® Magic Shell® Chocolate Flavoured Topping. Smucker’s invited me to recreate one of […] Continue reading →

Personalized Books

“It’s mine! The book is for me!” My son’s face broke out into the biggest smile I’d ever seen when we received our personalized books from Chronicle Books. Available in both personalized and non personalized versions, these classic favourites. These bedtime classics are available on, but you also have the option to turn them into personalized mementos for your little ones. We received a couple samples of both and our favorite by far the personalized version. My son has asked us to read him “Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site, over and over again. As soon as we turn the first […] Continue reading →

Because, of course it is! Four Seasons Toronto offers 259 spacious luxury hotel guest rooms, including 42 suites, in Toronto’s Yorkville […] Continue reading →

I love doughnuts. I mean really, really love doughnuts. When I was pregnant with my son I demanded doughnuts at all hours of the day and night. There were quite a few midnight trips to the Safeway for day old doughnuts when none of the doughnut shops were open. My husband started buying them by the dozen from Doughboys to satiate my constant doughnut need. I guess I shouldn’t have been all that surprised when I gained over 50 pounds with my son (thank goodness I was 22 with an awesome metabolism when I gave birth). Unfortunately, I don’t have […] Continue reading →

Disclosure: This post has been compensated by Traveling Mom and MasterCard Every time I bring up the subject of traveling with kids, I’m met with “Oh my goodness, how do you do it?!” Yes, traveling with kids comes with its set of challenges, but it can be dare I say it…easy if you plan accordingly and travel between certain times of day. Don’t “wait until they’re old enough” because there is no right or wrong age. We travel for ourselves and for our children. Whether or not my 12 month old son at the time will remember his trip to […] Continue reading →
