It’s official peeps! Royal Caribbean announced that they’ll be moving forward with an order of the fourth Oasis-class ship for delivery in 2018! Known for pushing the boundaries and as part of the cruise line’s improvement strategy, Oasis III will be approximately 20 percent more energy efficient than Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, which already are the most energy efficient cruise ships in the world. Exciting new additions to Carnival! The cruise line just introduced their new marine-themed children’s program to its fleet of 24 “Fun Ships.” The program is set to debut on Carnival Freedom on May 24, and will immerse children ages 2-11 in the wonders of the sea through fun, engaging and educational experiences.  More than 200 new ocean-inspired activities will range from educational games such as Sea Creature Discovery, Marine Life Trivia, Under the Sea Mad Libs and Ocean Artifacts Memory Tray to creative arts opportunities such as Design Your Own Aquarium, Make Your Own Sailboat, Sea Salt Art, and Create a […] Continue reading →


Get excited because Disney Cruise Line is adding in a magical new course for northern Europe, one that will make “Frozen” fans very happy by cruising to Norway! Starting March 27, 2014, traveling families will be able to explore the Norwegian fjords, Iceland and the Faroe Islands. This is a first for Disney! In addition,  Disney Cruise Line is returning to the Baltic for all-new itineraries, including sailings from Copenhagen, Denmark to St. Petersburg, Russia. I may have cried out with joy when I read the latest press release from Royal Caribbean. As a working mom who needs to be connected 24/7 (yes, even on vacation!) I was thrilled to hear that Royal Caribbean International has invested in a major technology overhaul for their Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas ships. Long gone are the days of slow and spotty Wi-Fi signals, because this new high speed will be so fast that the cruise line says it will match or exceed what guests can achieve on land. Ever since I was engaged to be married in St. Martin, this island of two nations has held a special place in my heart. The one thing you can never say about dining on Royal Caribbean‘s Freedom of the Seas is that it lacks options. Options abound on this floating city. From fine dining to casual fare, the Freedom of the Seas has it covered. Prior to our trip in early November I was slightly worried about dining onboard for three reasons.
