Passion Island

I’ve been to Mexico a couple of times, however one of the most amazing spots I had the pleasure of visiting, was actually an excursion that I took with Carnival Cruise Lines. Isla de Pasion, also known as Passion Island, is located approximately 30-40 minutes from Cozumel by ferry. Just breathtaking. Where can you find a beach like this in Mexico? I had yet to see one, until we visited Passion Island. What we loved the most about this island is the exclusivity you felt while visiting. Miles of white sand, a pristine beach and the entire island to yourself […] Continue reading →

As you know, we are a big fan of Carnival’s new ships. The Carnival Sunshine isn’t technically “new” although you would never guess it when onboard. Previously the Carnival Destiny,  the Carnival Sunshine holds 3,002 passengers and features everything from an onboard waterpark, a SkyCourse, an incredible amount of restaurants and activities onboard.  Last November we were invited onboard this new ship and took part in the Christening festivities. During the dockside ceremony in New Orleans, Lin Arison, the widow of Ted Arison (founder of Carnival Cruise Lines) christened the ship. Carnival also made a donation of $25,000 to the YoungArts […] Continue reading →

I may have cried out with joy when I read the latest press release from Royal Caribbean. As a working mom who needs to be connected 24/7 (yes, even on vacation!) I was thrilled to hear that Royal Caribbean International has invested in a major technology overhaul for their Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas ships. Long gone are the days of slow and spotty Wi-Fi signals, because this new high speed will be so fast that the cruise line says it will match or exceed what guests can achieve on land. How are they doing this? […] Continue reading →
