April 2014 017

I love all the beautiful holiday crafts I see on Pinterest for Easter (and every other holiday). The hand sewn bunnies and Faberge egg decorated cookies and other elaborate crafts are delightful. They are, however, very time consuming and above my skill level. This Easter treat idea on the other hand, is amazingly easy and takes all of five minutes and five ingredients to make. It’s simple enough for the littlest helpers to make, and just messy enough to be tons of fun. Chocolate Egg Nests makes 6 Ingredients: 1 (4oz) package of chow mein noodles 1/2 cup shredded coconut […] Continue reading →

As I was adding items to my shopping cart on today, I noticed something interesting. Amazon Prime members can elect a preferred charity and will donate money to that charity for every order you place through Amazon Prime. This isn’t a new initiative, in fact it’s been around since October 2013. If you shop through – the company will donate 0.5% of your entire purchase price to your charity of choice. You’ll have the option to choose from charities such as the Red Cross, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and charity:water. Amazon hasn’t put a cap on […] Continue reading →

Opening April 18, 2014 in lieu of Earth Day, this story follows the life of a bear family after two baby bear cubs are welcomed into the world by their mama and learn some important life lessons as they grow. The movie is visually stunning with the Alaskan backdrop creating breathtaking views. car seat recall

There’s a massive recall that was just issued a few days ago, so check your car seats! Evenflo issued a voluntary recall in coordination with the U.S National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (“NHTSA”) for their select 2011-2014 convertible car seats and harnessed booster seats (1.3 million in total). The seats are identified below by name, model number prefix and date of manufacture as each of these seats uses a harness crotch buckle which may become resistant to unlatching over time, due to exposure to various contaminants (like food and drinks) thus making it difficult to remove a child from the vehicle. These convertible […] Continue reading →

10 outfits sure to impress the easter bunny

Hey, friends! I’m Melissa and I blog over at Love Like Johnny and June. I’m here filling in for one of my favorite gals, Lacy, while she’s on maternity leave. I myself had a baby not too long ago. My little guy (Henry!) is just five months old and we’re totally stoked to celebrate his first Easter. Although he won’t remember much about it, I’m still excited to take him to Easter Mass and to hide Easter eggs for him…and then help myself to all of the candy. Of course all of this celebrating calls for a festive outfit, right!?  Which […] Continue reading →

Food seems to be the new design trend for baby gear. First Jeremy Scott debuted his “Food Fight” collaboration with Cybex and now bugaboo has gone bananas with their Bugaboo + Andy Warhol Banana Collection. Yes, that’s right – a banana stroller! This is Bugaboo’s second collaboration with Andy Warhol, last year they released a very colourful selection of pieces that I liked quite a bit. This one is definitely unique… Inspired by Warhol’s legendary print Bugaboo continues the exciting collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation of the Visual Arts. May 2014 Bugaboo will introduce the Bugaboo + Andy Warhol […] Continue reading →
