We’ve showcased their straw bags before, but never their hats. For Spring 2011 Grevi has definitely brought some gorgeous designs to the forefront with their latest collection for kids. Now if you are thinking straw hats as in cheap farmer style hats, you would be quite wrong! These are luxurious in quality and the price definitely reflects that as well!

Each one of these hats are handmade in Italy using traditional methods and specialized workmanship that has been passed down from generation to generation.  If only such quality didn’t have to come with such a high price tag! Prices range from $91-$200!

If your budget allows and you simply can’t live without one of these beauties I’ve listed the details of each from top left and across:

1. The Grevi Girls Straw Hat with Pink Flowers is a stunning hat with a small peak on the front. Flowers in cream, toffee brown, pink and yellow cover the brim.

2. A unisex choice would be the Grevi Straw Trilby Hat with Brown Strap made from 100% hemp.

3. The beautiful Ivory Flower Hat turns things around, switching the straw hat for a brim instead.

4. Another unisex option is the Grevi Straw Trilby Hat in White with a brown strap. It is also made from 100% hemp.

5. The Pink Flower hat is the same as #3, but in a different colour. I love those taffeta roses and grosgrain ribbons!

6. Last but not least is the Grevi Straw Hat in Ivory. Same as #1, different colour

I don’t think this idea has ever been put into life before. Top hats for babies? Crazy right!

Kouture Top Hats are “the new must have for photo shoots”. Designed by KidKouture out of Elkader, Iowa , these hats are original to say the least.  Each one can be made with a thin plastic headband, alligator klip attachment or elastic band. They come in a variety of colors and styles (we have included photos of just a few for you to check out.

Before my second daughter (now 2-years old) was born, I spent quite a bit of time looking for a warm baby hat. Because her birthday was smack dab in the middle of winter, I wanted to make sure that she was protected with the coziest baby hat I could find.

The Bundle Me Hat by JJ Cole is hands-down the softest, coziest, cuddliest baby hat you could possibly buy. Made from the same cream colored plush shearling as the Original Bundle Me (a must-have accessory for those who live in colder climates), this hat is visually adorable and feels like a little bit of heaven.

I am a sucker for anything pixie oriented. With their gossamer wings and sweet angelic faces, Cicely Mary Barker’s Flower Fairies adorn the walls of my daughters’ bedroom. There is something so innocent, magical and utterly charming about pixies, which is why I swooned when I came across these adorable handmade Pixie Hats!

The blue version above is my favorite. Made from 100% pure alpaca wool, this little cap features a ribbon that is attached through small button-holes that have been knitted across the front. If you prefer it without the ribbon, it can be removed.

Miss Lene on Etsy makes and sells a wide range of these pixie hats in green stripe, grey stripe, cream and blue. She also sells a variety of different styles in her shop.

A great selection of winter headwear is a must in any budding fashionista’s closet! Winter is the time for kids to wear bright, fun colours and dress up warm, which this hat allows you to do amazingly well whilst keeping up with the ongoing ‘Boho’ fashion trend that is still raging onwards.

Well, the kids are off on their Summer break here, so that means 6 weeks of madness in our household! We live by the beach though, so with relief it means that there will be plenty of opportunities to get outside in the sun and get some much needed space and fresh air when the house starts getting filled with toys and bored kids.

Retro inspired styles come and go, and this fall they promise to be back in a big way. One look that is coming back is the vintage hat. Whether you like the classic fedora or the spunky Driver Cap, you can add a little retro flair to childrens’ clothes with a great hat.

When vintage looks come back into style, many people forget just how much pizazz they can add with a simple retro-inspired hat. Boys and girls alike can make their look really pop with a great hat. And this fall, every era is up for grabs. You can go really retro with a simple newsboy hat, that looks great on everyone. Or stay slightly more modern with a tie-die flower power cap.

Though caps are usually thought of as for boys only, even girls can get into the retro style. Babies aren’t known to have a lot of hair, but that hasn’t stopped parents from adorning their heads with big, bold flower headbands. Little girls are now getting the floral treatment with these hair accessories that scream “warmer months have arrived!”

Huge silk flowers used to be the domain of elderly women, often pinned to their dresses or hats. When Sarah Jessica Parker took the bold look onto the screen in Sex and the City, suddenly the faux flower was everywhere. Pinned to dresses, glued on purses, or even used to decorate a ponytail or bun!

Because no good fashion trend can truly exist without making its way down the age ladder, it was only a matter of time before babies began sporting this look as well. Fun, colorful, and a bit feminine, the flower baby  headband burst through in a big way. Parents are loving adding a playful touch to their baby girl’s dresses with a bold flower on top of their heads.

There are so many different ways to wear the flower headband, parents can match one with any look they want. A wild animal print with a bright rose or a soft pastel daisy headband with a matching tutu, and hundreds of other looks in between. Make it bright and cheery, or choose one of the smaller flowers for just a slight pop.

When there are flowers blooming everywhere outside, and the sun is shining bright, parents can bring some of that floral charm to their babies with huge, colorful flowers. The trend that made headlines for fabulously fashionable women, is now taking over headbands for fabulously fashionable babies.

Thankfully, this trend does not have to die with the cold weather. Baby hats featuring huge flowers are already being sold to parents who want to keep the look going all winter. Flowers, rather than diamonds, are a girl’s best friend!
