After taking a bit of a hiatus, Tommy Hilfiger is reintroducing their children’s footwear line for Fall 2012 – this time with a new licensee. Synclaire Brands will be taking the place of Stride Rite who previously held the license. According to WWD, the line will take inspiration from the latest footwear trends, interpreting them within the Tommy Hilfiger world.

The collection will include boots, ballet flats and slippers for the girls and loafers, sneakers and hikers for boys. Look for stripes, color-blocking and plaid and houndstooth patterns, using tweed, denim, corduroy and chambray fabrics. Extra attention was paid to detail, from trims to printed linings.

The new collection is slated to ship to stores in July and prices will range from $20 to $50. Hilfiger plans on expanding the line to include flip-flops, sandals, nautical looks and a wider range of sneakers for spring ’13.

pediped® released their Spring/Summer 2012 collection today, debuting over 75 new styles and color combinations across their three lines of footwear: Originals®, Grip ‘n’ Go™ and Flex®. Beach lovers will appreciate the bright and colorful water-safe shoes, while fashionistas are sure to adore the trendsetting color palette of jewel tones, metallics and bright accent colors.

Gladiator sandals are back (thank goodness!), and you can find plenty of athletic styles, Mary Janes and sweet boat shoes.

My heart skipped a beat when I laid eyes on these beautiful baby shoes from Sonatina. Lena Aboo is the designer of these stunning little creations, and you’ll never guess where her inspiration came from – YouTube!Lena became inspired to create her own line of miniature baby shoes after watching a video of an Indian shoemaker create a piece of footwear out of the leather from a skirt found in her mother’s wardrobe.

With the use of a sewing machine and apiece of leather, Lena created her very first mini shoe. Each one of these incredible creations are made from nappa leather and you’ll notice most of them are influenced by the ’30′s, ’40′s and dance.

If you live in the United States you can purchase these cute shoes through Sonatina’s online shop. The line isn’t available in-store in the United States or Canada yet, but can be purchased through a wide range of retailers in Italy as well as a couple of locations in Turkey, Taiwan and Russia.

Smart! Speaking from my own personal experience, I tend to make my own purchasing choices around companies that offer rewards or incentives of some sort. Every dollar counts, right?

Roger Vivier, the famous Parisian shoe brand is joining the likes of Lanvin and Oscar de la Renta, by diving into the kids’ fashion world. Instead of clothing however Vivier is launching a brand new line of children’s footwear. collection of kids’ footwear dubbed Roger Vivier — Jeune Fille, or, in English, Roger Vivier — Girl.

According to WWD, the line is inspired by the house’s just-launched collection of brightly colored patent leather ballerinas for adults, which carry the brand’s iconic buckle.

The kids’ shoes offer a cool ankle strap which is removable and sizes will range from 27 to 34 in European sizes and prices will start at 240 euros, or $312 USD. Definitely a luxury line!

Although they are extremely pricey, partial proceeds will be going to a range of children’s charities, such as Save the Children in Italy and New Yorkers for Children in the U.S.

‘Tis the season for glitter, plaid and velvet! TOMS has introduced a couple of new lines for kids and adults, all of which offer nods to the upcoming holiday season.

The kids’ collection comes in Tiny TOMS sizing for little ones and youth sizing for toddlers and big kids and designs include cute  prints that can be worn year-round as well as some more festive ones. The plaid and snowflake prints are great for everyday, but if you are looking for something a little more snazzy, check out the Glitters.

Talk about fancy! The collection ranges from $29-$42.

Since we were on the topic of matching mom-daughter shoes earlier, I thought I would include TOMS latest in wedges. As a major fan of their wedge, I am LOVING the glitterized and velvet versions.

Another trend that we are seeing, both for kids and adults is Houndstooth. I am quite fond of the Brown Houndstooth however not such a big fan of the Scottish version.

There is nothing my girls like more than to match with mama. They try to mimic my every move, whether it be the way  I move my hands when I talk to to way I style my hair. Whatever mama is doing, my girls want to do.

When I received a pair of black patent Dansko Mary Janes along with a pair of matching red ones, you can only imagine the thrill of my eldest. She has been wearing those bright, shiny red clogs since the day we received them and coincidentally they match perfectly with her red wool coat.

Dankso is a trusted shoe brand that has been around for years (over 2 decades to be exact) and have become a favorite with both retailers and consumers. The company actually came about ‘by accident’ by a husband and wife team who while running a successful horse-training business, stumbled across a pair of “incredibly comfortable” Danish-made clogs. They started selling them as a side business and well.. the rest is history!

I have been wearing my Maeve Black Patent clogs quite frequently. testing them out during market runs, while traveling and even during a couple of conference I attended recently. My one worry was getting the patent leather scuffed as they are so shiny, but they still look spiffy and there is no dulling anywhere to be seen. Same goes with my daughter’s Jamie clogs.

Aren’t the punched out hearts such a sweet touch? This Mary Jane version of the original clog offers the same supportive footbed with a modified rocker bottom and lowered heel that has been specifically designed and engineered for kids. They are sturdy enough to skip and run in and yet at the same time look chic enough to wear during special occasions or with dressier outfits. They are a great all-in-one shoe, suitable for any and all occasions.

There are several other styles that can easily be mixed and matched to create even more mom-daughter looks, but these two were my absolute favorite. I’ve been a fan of the UGG’s cute booties for babies for quite some time, however the new styles really have me cooing!

For fall, UGG has introduced 3 new styles for babies – the Arly, Boo and Bixbee.  Arly (pictured above) is made out of plush suede with cute stitched detailing and then lined with soft shearling. Those laces are actually elastics which make for easy on and offs. Outsoles on the Arly feature a clear-silicone tread to help prevent slips.

All of the boots are lined with UGG’s signature shearling lining to keep your baby’s toesies warm and cozy.

The Boo is a moccasin style boot that features Twinface sheepskin and a reinforced heel and toe. They come in 3 colors – Bomber Jacket Chocolate,  Baby Pink and Chestnut.

If you weren’t a fan of the traditional Crocs, you are going to want to check out their new line of sneakers, because I’m telling you they will completely change the way you view the brand.

Available in 5 different styles, these cool ‘Sneaks’ are the lightest closed toe shoe my daughter has ever worn. Weighing just a few ounces these shoes are truly light as air. Also, the non marking soles, make them excellent for gym and the schoolyard.

Crocs Hover Metallic Sneaks are so stylish you could match them with jeans or a dress and still look on trend. The price point of $39 is fab and slightly less expensive than the ones we purchased for her last year. My daughter has become an official fan ever since wearing these with bare feet in the warmer months as well as with socks in the cooler one. As someone who is extremely picky about her shoes, this is nothing short of amazing as the traditional sneaker style doesn’t appeal to my daughter at all!
