I love watching brands grow and expand over the years — especially when they are as down-to-earth and as fun as the folks at Crywolf! I came across this near line of clothing and accessories, designed in Toronto by a pair of college pals turned business owners, about a year or so ago, and their shop is filled with fun goodies for not only kiddos, but the whole family. The website caption for this rad pink top reads, “Always ready to sparkle, shine, and captivate you with the magical powers of the unicorn!” Love it! And how sweet is this […] Continue reading →

What began as a small side-gig for a university student, has transformed into full-time shop ownership for Montreal’s Yana Gorbulsky. As clothing designer extraordinaire and head honcho at Supayana, a clothing line featuring unique pieces for mom and baby, Yana has grown from a one-woman show in 2003 to a thriving businesswoman with wholesale capabilities and an eco-friendly credence worth praising. “When I was in university I started selling my handmade clothing on eBay,” she tells Worn Journal. “A few years later, it became a self-sustaining business, so after I graduated, I decided to do fashion full-time.” It’s been amazing ever […] Continue reading →

My daughter’s first Christmas (back in 2009!) was magical and memorable. At nearly a year old, she took in the sights and sounds and was absolutely mesmerized by our Christmas tree, holidays lights, and all of the presents stacked up on the morning of December 25th. It’s such a special time for parents — to watch their children enjoy the wonders of their very first holiday season! Today I wanted to share some cute ideas that would make for great gifts or keepsakes for baby’s 1st Christmas! Baby’s First Christmas Onesie with Headband and Leg Warmers via C & E […] Continue reading →

I love colouring with my daughter. There’s nothing quite like sitting down with a huge box of crayons — every colour in the world — and a fresh sheet of paper, completely empty, yet filled with possibilities. I find colouring with her an incredibly calming activity which includes the added luxury of being able to watch her artistic side come through and amaze me with her creations. Recently, we’ve seen a few parent-child art collaborations in the news, and I wanted to share two today. First, artist Fred Giovannitti started a business trip tradition with his daughters — ages 6 and […] Continue reading →

When Brett Novak lost his father to Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2008, he was devastated to lose a wonderful man who meant so much to him. From the ashes of this tragedy, good hYOUman was born — a clothing company which donates a portions of its profits to help others battling leukaemia and lymphoma. This innovative shop, founded in 2011, allows buyers to choose a favourite style + one of the company’s signature slogans. The tees, dresses, tanks — and of course onesies for the tiny crowd — are available in trendy colours, relaxed fits, and are made from a super comfortable, […] Continue reading →

This week I’ve been spending a LOT of time working and typing away by the fireside, keeping my toes warm, and sipping cup after cup of hot tea and coffee. Oh yes, Winter is certainly on it’s way up here! We’ve been digging through our cold-weather gear, pulling out all of the hats, scarves, and mittens, and I’ve realized that my growing daughter only really has a pair or two of mittens left that still fit on her hands from last year! Time to stock up on some cute and warm mittens for the season! And where do I look […] Continue reading →
