3 Things You Didn’t Know About Secret Extensions Hair Extensions

If you’ve ever wanted to play with hair extensions, but didn’t have the nerve (or the money) to go through the entire procedure, Secret Extensions are a fabulous option! No clips or glue is necessary with these incredibly realistic hair pieces. photo 1My  hair is already the same length as the extensions, so I used them to add additional body and volume to my own hair

“Each Secret Extensions piece is guaranteed to perfectly blend into your hair, or your money back!”

Secret Extensions sent me several different shades that match with my hair colour, and they ALL worked beautifully! After wearing them for the past few weeks, here are three interesting facts about these extensions that I didn’t know before.

1. Buy a variety of different colours to add highlights or low lights to your hair.

Yes you can add length and body to your hair, but by using a shade lighter, or darker than your own colour, you can add depth as well!

2. If your kids play with your extensions, it’s OKAY!

Confession: My children had a BALL with these extensions! They used them for dress-up and played princess non-stop (yes, even my three-year-old son), however I didn’t find out until after the fact, when I found them like this.

To say I was horrified would be an understatement. I wasn’t sure if I could use them again, because they were so tangled! The fibres used to make these extensions are so similar to real hair, that they brush out effortlessly. Here’s the after picture.

I’m not advocating the use of hair extensions for children, but if they do happen to get into them, not all is lost!

3. Built-in hairband

The instructions advise you to hide the elastic band by pulling your hair in and around to blend it in. I preferred leaving it as is, since I wear headbands on a daily basis to keep the whisps away from my eyes and mouth. These extensions essentially have one built-in, creating a quick and easy hairstyle that doesn’t take long to create.

If you’re looking for a change, definitely check out Secret Extensions! They won’t break the bank and you can change up your hairstyle to create very realistic styles that blend in perfectly with your own hair!

Um, okay. I’m very very intrigued by these puppies now because of the whole “chopping 9 inches off sounds like a GREAT idea!” thing I did two months ago.

These are so fun. I have only used extensions once, and they were not as easy as these appear to be.
