Isla de Pasion ~ Our Passion Island Excursion In Cozumel, Mexico

Passion Island

I’ve been to Mexico a couple of times, however one of the most amazing spots I had the pleasure of visiting, was actually an excursion that I took with Carnival Cruise Lines. Isla de Pasion, also known as Passion Island, is located approximately 30-40 minutes from Cozumel by ferry.

Just breathtaking. Where can you find a beach like this in Mexico? I had yet to see one, until we visited Passion Island.
What we loved the most about this island is the exclusivity you felt while visiting. Miles of white sand, a pristine beach and the entire island to yourself and a playground and nanny service for the kids. My son and daughters spent most of their time here making crafts, playing on the jungle gym and running around. Not once did I have to worry about them as they were being supervised the entire time.
Drinks, food, local shopping and massage appointments are also available on this island. There are numerous thatch-roofed palapas scattered around the island and someone is always at hand to serve you a drink or assist you in any request you may have.

Our lunch was incredible, fresh and they had numerous choices served buffet style.

The local artisans are phenomenal! It’s almost impossible to leave without something. These were hand painted sinks – gorgeous!

There were lots of hammocks for those of use just looking to lie in the shade.

We had an amazing time at Passion Island and it became our favourite excursion from our entire trip with Carnival. The  kids didn’t last long on the ferry ride home.

We arrived at the dock just as the sun set. It was truly the perfect day!

The Passion Island excursion books up very fast through Carnival, so if you’re stop is in Cozumel, be sure to reserve your spot!

Disclosure: We were guests of Carnival Cruise Lines and our cruise was covered by Carnival. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Nadia – this is breathtaking. The beach alone captivated me and then I continue to scroll, pausing over each photograph. I’m mesmerized by the options for children, the playtime for adults, the beauty in ever corner, every stretch of the island. You know I’m a beach girl – I’m not sure I’d ever leave. Beautifully captured.

This just looks like HEAVEN! Such a great alternative to the traditional touristy-spots in Cozumel!!

We’ve been dying to try out a Carnival cruise. Did they have good options for families of 5? Our biggest obstacle to a cruise is having more than 4 people in our family.

Oh, this sounds like paradise. What a wonderful way to spend the day. That beach is just gorgeous and it looks like you had it all to yourself.

What a lovely trip!!! I took a Carnival Cruise 20 years ago. YES, TWENTY! LOL. I would love to go on another, and Cozumel looks amazing.
