Graco Recall (Yes Again!) This Time – 1.9 Million Infant Car Seats

Here we go again! Graco announced today that they’ll be recalling the harness buckles used on approximately 1.9 million infant car seats that were manufactured between July 20120 and May 2013.

An investigation was launched by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration after consumers reported having trouble opening the buckles and having to use excessive fore to unlatch them. In some cases, the straps had to even be cut to free the kids! Thankfully, no injuries were reported, however Graco is encouraging consumers to order a buckle replacement kit and install the new buckle immediately after it arrives.

You can verify if your car seat is affected by he recall and can also order a replacement kit by entering your model name and the manufacture date on GracoBuckleRecall.com. If you have an infant car seat that is NOT included in this recall but would like to update your seat to Graco’s new buckle design, they will provie you with a free replacement buckle as well.
