My New Found Love For Carter’s & OshKosh Runs Deep
I was raised in Osh Kosh digs. I had the overalls, the jean jacket, the tops, you name it I had it. And you know what? Those clothes never wore out! They were passed on to my sisters who wore them over and over again before passing them down to family and friends. In the ’80’s, Osh Kosh was known as the top of the line when it came to quality. Naturally I bought the same for my eldest daughter, but started venturing into the world of Carter’s when the company merged with Osh Kosh. Our local city has a Carter’s/Osh Kosh store so you can purchase both brands at the same place.
Carter’s has been a popular brand in the USA and I’ve loved their stuff for babies, but until my recent trip to their headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, I was unaware that they also cater to older children, in a very trendy and fashionable way I may add! During a special invite-only event just before the Mom 2.0 conference, myself and a select number of mom bloggers visited the new headquarters located just off Peachtree.
We learned about the production process and how they incorporate current trends into their kids fashions and were given a sneak peek at their upcoming fall collection.
Although it wasn’t mentioned by the company, I will say that Carter’s has definitely gone through a shift with their clothing production. The cutesy traditional kidswear is definitely still there and prominent, however they seem to be focusing on more trends and travel to Paris, Italy and other European countries for inspiration to use in upcoming collections. I feel as though Carter’s has their finger on the pulse of the children’s industry. They always have. They are one of the biggest suppliers in the country, but Carter’s is not the same company I remember. They’ve upped their game and I’m love it!
We were all gifted with some cute clothing for our children, but I had very limited space in my carry-on, so Carter’s was kind enough to ship the clothing to my home. Here are a few of my favourite pieces that they sent along.
If you have a Carter’s/OshKosh store close to you, pop in and take a look around. I promise you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the current options and affordable price point. You can also order online!
