How To Make Greek Yogurt Orange Creamsicles

I don’t know abut you, but in my neck of the woods it’s definitely starting to feel like summer. The sun is out until late in the evening and the weather is warm from the moment I wake up. This week it got hot enough for us to play in the sprinklers to beat the heat!

For me, there’s no better treat on a hot afternoon than a cool, creamy popsicle. I remember towards the end of the year my school cafeteria used to sell orange creamsicles at lunchtime, and eating those sickly sweet ice-cream filled treats as they dripped all over the blacktop was about as close to heaven as recess could get.

These healthy orange creamsicles have all that nostalgic flavor without the high-fat and high-fructose of the original. With just four simple ingredients, they couldn’t be easier to make. They’re the perfect snack for a hot afternoon!

  1. 1 cup orange juice
  2. 1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
  3. 2 teaspoons maple syrup
  4. 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Mix all the ingredients into a blender and mix until completely combined.
  2. Pour into popsicle molds (dixie cups and popsicle sticks will work just fine if you don’t have any molds) and freeze until completely firm. Serve!
