Mixed Berry Chia Seed Jam ~ How To Make This Easy No Cook Spread!


Breakfast is the one meal a day I don’t skimp on health. If my family and I don’t get a good start on the day with a healthy meal, it’s hard for everyone. Chia seeds are a super food that helps me and my kiddos feel full all morning and keeps our energy level up. I mix them into yogurt and smoothies, but one of my favorite ways to serve up chia seeds in the morning is with this delicious and easy jam.

This recipe is easily adapted to whatever type of fruit we have on hand, and you can change up the flavor by using honey in place of the maple syrup, or switching up the type of extract you use. It’s a great recipe to get everyone on board with a new super food.

Mixed Berry Chia Seed Jam

  1. 2 cups mixed berries
  2. 2 Tablespoons chia seeds
  3. 2 Tablespoons warm water
  4. 2 Tablespoons maple syrup
  5. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Blend all of the ingredients together in a food processor or good blender until smooth.
  2. Pour into glass container and refrigerate at least 60 minutes before using.
