Disney’s “Frozen” Released On Blu-Ray/DVD & My Exclusive Interview With The Filmmakers!
Last week, I hopped on a plane to take part in an incredible media event for Disney’s “Frozen” in Quebec City. In true Disney style, this junket was filled with magic, fun and some surprises! I had the incredible opportunity to interview the film directors and producers and was immersed in the world of “Frozen” thanks to some activities that had been arranged for television media and journalists from around the world. A fun fact that I learned was that the filmmakers visited Quebec City’s Hotel de Glace to gain inspiration for Elsa’s ice palace. This is one stop that has been on my bucket list for years now so when I was offered the chance to not only visit this ice hotel, but stay the night – I was thrilled! I’ll be posting my review on the hotel this week, so definitely look for that. Both Michael Giaimo and Peter Del Vecho had some interesting tidbits about the movie that I think you’ll find fascinating! I was lucky enough to chat with them during the event as you’ll see in the video above. I also had a chance to talk to the producers of the film, the lovely Jennifer Lee and Christopher Buck. I just loved these two! Their chemistry is incredible and I hope to see additional work from them in the near future. Speaking of which…will there be a “Frozen Part II” and are they planning a sequel? Watch my interview above to find out!
Earlier today, I posted some incredible facts on the inspiration behind Arendelle on Babble Travel, but you’ll have to stay tuned for further coverage on the hotel and an interview with the founder of Hotel de Glace (incredibly fascinating!). I’ll also dish on what it’s like to go dog-sledding (another first for me) and whether the traditional Quebecois sugar shack is all that it’s hyped up to be, but today I have some really exciting news!
The special collector’s edition of “Frozen” was just released today in a Blu-Ray/DVD Combo pack and it’s jam-packed with all sorts of never-before-seen footage and extras including 4 deleted scenes from the film and an entire feature on the making of “Frozen” as well as interviews with the directors. You can purchase the movie now through Amazon.com or the Disney Store.
Disclosure: I was invited as Disney’s guest for the “Frozen” press event in Quebec City. All thoughts and opinions are my own as always.
