Ringing In 2014 With a ROAR! #Roar14

I’ve always loved journals. The hardback cover, the sound of each turning page, blank and begging to be filled with stories, ideas and the future. Ringing in the new year has always felt a little bit like like that. Saying goodbye to the previous year and turning a new page, a blank slate. You say goodbye to the journal of the previous year and crack open a blank book, one ready and willing to carry your dreams, your thoughts and your future.

2013 was an epic year for me and my family. We travelled the world and made a big business decision that will change our future in the long run. I learned that I’m stronger than I ever thought I was. I’ve laughed harder than I’ve ever laughed in my life, loved and lost deeply. Losing my grandmother was the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. She was my everything, my inspiration and my biggest cheerleader. She was my everything.

Most importantly, in 2013 we grew as a family.

For 2014, I’m jumping in with both feet partnering with friends and colleagues who I’ve known for a long time on some new and exciting projects. The first is something that I’m extremely proud of. My dear friend Andrea Fellman from Savvy Sassy Moms and I are going to be hosting the first ever ROAR Retreat in Costa Rica this year. We have wanted this type of social and professional retreat for years. Something on a very small scale that is intimate and allows us to have more quality connections and conversations.

Happy New Year friends! May 2014 be your best yet!
