My Secret Guilty Pleasure & A New App That Delivers
What’s your guilty pleasure? Mine – magazines. I love them! The glossy photos, fascinating interviews and articles and all of those handy tips in one pretty, silky covered book. I’m also quite the green fanatic, so buying a magazine comes with a whole lot of guilt as I hate throwing them away. Yes, I actually have guilt when reading magazines. Whatiswrongwithme.
Next Issue Canada is the solution to my problems. I have access to all of my favourite magazines in one little app and can download current and back issues on demand. As soon as I installed this app on my iPad I started going download crazy and subscribed to 20 different magazines. This amazing services is available on a free 30 day trial period right now!
Some of my favourite articles from just 5 of them:
I love Fortune Magazine and although their current issue is definitely fascinating, I jumped to the October 28, 2013 issue for a reason. Sheryl Sandberg has been making headlines since she debuted her recent book about women in the workplace. Fortune’s article Sheryl Sandberg: The Real Story is an amazing look at the woman behind the book.
Canadian Health & Lifestyle has a great article on fitness on the go. Lots of interesting products and tips to get you in shape for the new year!
Condé Nast Traveler is my favorite magazine of all time and to pick a favourite article from the January issue is next to impossible. My favourite features is of course the Gold List! Here you’ll find the world’s best hotels listed with their ratings. It’s definitely an article you want to bookmark!
The New Yorker Magazine‘s December 16th issue features Nelson Mandela and their “Talk of the Town” feature is a look at the legend’s life. A great feature!
And then of course, O, The Oprah Magazine! Even though the January 2014 issue is out, I’m still drooling over December 2013’s “Oprah’s Favorite Things!” No explanations necessary.
