Exquisitely Handmade Shoes From Nathalie Verlinden
Speechless is exactly how I feel when I look at the exquisitely handmade shoes from Nathalie Verlinden — totally speechless. I’m not even sure how words can adequately describe these classic shoes, but I will try and let the photos do the talking.
The gorgeous and fashionable Amanda, from coos & ahhs, posted a photo a week ago on her Instagram account of the above beautiful Ina shoe. The Ina shoes are now in stock at sugar on snow, and their photos have somewhat haunted me (in a good way) ever since. They are simply stunning, well-crafted, and timeless.
After admiring the Ina shoes, I had to look up the entire Nathalie Verlinden collection at sugar on snow to find more, and I was struck speechless gazing at every photo online. All shoes are handmade in Italy of naturally dyed and tanned leathers, including the above style, Billy. You can envision multiple generations adventuring in these classic shoes. I don’t think that I have ever found a children’s shoe that made me feel so excited and sentimental at the same time.
The bold, indigo Loui style exudes playfulness while remaining traditional. The leather eyelet details around each lace add class and fashionable flair to a timeless boot shape.
…the Mingus Magic Rainbow Shoe! Just crazy fun, yet simple and gorgeous. How does she do it?! I’m in shoe heaven and want to see them in person to feel their high quality, run my fingers over the stitching, and smile at their simplicity. Is it possible that looking at all of these Nathalie Verlinden shoes makes me feel as if I want to be a better person?
