Last week I shared some fun handmade Halloween costume ideas for the little boys in your lives. This week, we’re showcasing some lovely costumes for girls, all handmade, all fabulous!

Here are my favourites for this year!

I’m so loving this Madeline costume! We’ve been reading all the Madeline books lately and watching the show (thank you, Netflix!) and my daughter has been learning the songs. I can’t believe I still remember them from when I was a little girl! Check out this sweet costume available from Robin Poliakoff.

Y’arr! I definitely went as a pirate one year and my mom drew on a scruffy beard with brown eye-liner which rubbed off all over the place that day. Oh to be in the third grade again! This girl’s pirate costume is available in a variety of sizes from Sage N Thyme Designs.

Oh the nerd inside me is LOVING this R2D2 costume! Your little Star Wars fans will be dressed to impress in this cute R2D-tutu by Cutey Patoot.

What a stunning Cinderella costume! The folks at Fairytale Jubilee go all out when it comes to their intricate princess costumes. Gorgeous!

Your little ones can dress up like a beautiful rainbow bird this Halloween with some colourful wings by Sparrow & B! I really love costumes that kids can use all year long — I loved playing dress up when I was a kiddo and it’s so fun when your child’s friends come over and everyone can dress up!

Meow! I believe my daughter has requested to be a cat for Halloween — and I know she’d adore this black cat cape from Wild Things Dresses. (Heck, I’d wear this one!)

Do you prefer to buy or make your Halloween costumes? What are your little ones going as this year?
