Six Flags Announces New Water Park & Thrilling Rides For 2014

Six Flags is going all out for 2014! The world’s largest regional theme park company will be introducing thrilling rides and a brand new water park at their property in Georgia. The water park will mark the largest expansion in their 46 year history with an 800,000 gallon wave pool, an interactive children’s area and a multi-slide tower. The Six Flags White Water (the largest water park in the South) will be adding to their Dive-in Movies and are said to host live entertainment performances at the Atlanta Ocean wave pool.

New Jersey’s Six Flags Great Adventure

The world’s largest theme park will surpass the world record for tallest drop ride with their 41 story Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom (pictured above). Riders will be lifted 415 feet into the sky, a height that happens to be twice as high as the Statue of Liberty. They will then drop back down at 90 mph with the Kingda Ka trains moving directly toward them at speeds of up to 128 mph. Hold me.
Texas SkyScreamer
The New England SkyScreamer is another new ride lifting guests 40 stories into the air and spinning them at speeds of 40 mph.

Six Flags Great America, near Chicago

Goliath (pictured above) will be the world’s fastest wooden roller coaster as well as the world’s tallest and steepest drop on a wooden coaster. Once at the top, riders will plunge 180 feet with an 85 degree drop with twists and turns at speeds up to 72 mph.

Six Flags Mexico, in Mexico City

The Medusa will be getting a make-over and remerging as the Medusa Steel Coaster. The same wooden coaster with a new steel track.

Six Flags America, outside of Washington, D.C.

Two new rides are coming to the park including the Ragin’ Cajun and the French Quarter Flyers.

Six Flags Over Texas

The children’s section of the park will welcome an interactive play area, new kids rides and lots of areas for parents to cool off and relax while the kids play. The Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in North Texas will welcome a new multi-featured water slide.

Six Flags Magic Mountain in Southern California

BATMAN The Ride and the wooden coaster, Colossus, will run backwards for a limited time in 2014. The kids’ Bugs Bunny World is getting a makeover and there will be a new show available in the Carrot Club Theater as well as a fourth pint-sized coaster arriving.

Six Flags Great Escape in upstate New York

Look for the debut of Extreme Supernova, which offering the ultimate rush with spins and dips while suspending from an overhead axis flying 50 feet in the air. In addition, the Six Flags Great Escape Lodge and Indoor Water Park is offering an all-new VIP wing with 35 upscale suites and exclusive concierge service.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas

The extreme Bahama Blaster is coming and what a ride it is! This new addition

features four body slides that sit side-by-side and offer a unique launching capsule system. After reaching the top of the six-story tower, guests step into the enclosed vertical capsule where the floor drops out beneath them, sending riders free-falling 40 miles-per-hour down the slide.
