Lots Of Changes At Sears! A Look At The #SearsBabysRoom & Details On Their Promo
Sears has always been one of my go-to shops for shoes and clothing. Savior would be a word I would use to describe them. Between 1999 and 2004, I had very little time for shopping as I was working 2 full-time jobs back-to-back at the time. Thanks to their catalog ordering system I was able to make a phone call and have my goods shipped to an outlet withing walking distance from my apartment.
Unfortunately their baby line wasn’t the best. When I was pregnant with my first daughter, I couldn’t find the brands that I was looking for and had to order everything from the USA. Things have changed since then – quite a bit in fact. Over the past year I noticed quite a few changes going on in their children’s department with lots of items being moved around and an entire section dedicated to baby. Last week I had a chance to tour the Baby’s Room and let me tell you, it was nothing like I expected.
I spotted the luxury 4Moms Origami Stroller (!!), Boon products, Peg Perego baby gear, Itzy Ritzy’s line and an entire section dedicated to baby’s nursery and all sorts of products that I know and love. Not only has Sears done their research in this department, they’ve expanded it to include many of the best products you can buy for your baby.
The Baby’s Room is sectioned off into 5 different sections:
I loved how each of the nursery displays showed off the accessories and bedding. They had 5 different themes on display which made it easy to purchase the entire ‘room’ as shown, or various elements from the nurseries (cribs, decor, change tables, lamps, bedding, chest of drawers, etc).
And the blankets! They have a great selection of soft blankets for little ones.
Everything you need in terms of baby gear is here. Strollers from Peg Perego, the company who made the stroller I chose for my first child? They sell the newest strollers from them! The new 4Moms Origami stroller made famous by celebrities? That too!
The stroller selection provides something for families on any budget. Affordable picks and more luxurious ones are readily available.
The car seat selection was being updated and the Baby Room representative told me they had a bunch of new seats that were to be delivered the following week. That being said, there were still plenty to choose from.
Oh hello Boon! Boon’s known for their excellent line of feeding gear and their high chair has excellent reviews, so it was such a nice surprise to see their line in-store.
Bath & Accessories
Long gone are the rickety hard plastic bath tubs of yesteryear. Quality tubs and bath toys are a popular category and I think it has something to do with the brand ;). The sales rep mentioned that they have a hard time keeping Skip Hop’s faucet covers in stock.
Instead of focusing just on baby, Sears has a great selection of gifts that would be suitable for new moms and parents. See those adorable picture frames? I picked one up for my friend who is expecting her first baby!
I was blown away by the changes at Sears. They’ve come a long way since 2006 and as a mom to a little one who knows her labels, I’m thrilled with the new additions. If you need a few things or are looking for a gift, now is the time to visit as many of their products are deeply discounted. From May 24 to June 5 The Baby’s Room is saying “Thank You!” to their customers who made the first year such a success. You’ll find many products that are 30, 40 and even 50% off!
