Operation Shower Launches Showers in a Box Program For Military Moms-To-Be

After watching My America with Lisa Ling last year, I was filled with a whole new respect for military moms. I can’t even imagine the stress expectant military moms go through while their husbands serve our country! St. Louis-based non-profit Operation Shower is helping to ease the stress with support from Birdies for the Brave® and baby bedding company Carousel Designs. Together they have launched an amazing nationwide Showers in a Box program that provides “mini-showers” in a box to military moms-to-be.

What started off as an over-the-top group baby shower for military moms-to-be has now expanded to reach moms who are unable to attend one of the group baby showers due to geographic location or health reasons.

I think this is such a wonderful way to remind these women that we appreciate their family’s sacrifice ever so much. For more information or to donate, visit Operation Shower.
