When Is National Kids To Parks Day & Details On How You Can Participate

The weather is oh so fine here in Ontario. In fact it’s been warmer in Ontario, Canada than it has in California as I was just in Laguna Beach over the weekend. Spring is a great time to get your kids outside and moving. On Saturday, May 18, 2013, the National Park Trust will be hosting National Kids to Parks Day for the third consecutive year. Organizations including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Children & Nature Network, the NFL Players Association, America’s State Parks, the National Wildlife Federation, and the U.S. Department of the Interior have joined the National Park Trust to celebrate the outdoors and support the First Lady’s Let’s Move Outside! initiative. This year, six governors (from Arkansas, Colorado, Missouri, Mississippi, Texas and Vermont) have issued state proclamations to commemorate this event!

Over 300 cities, towns and parks will host free, outdoor events for kids and families. You can view the entre list of events by visiting kidstoparks.org.
