Casaurus by Koichiro Hoshino: The Most Incredible Bookshelf & Play Structure

What do you get when you combine a storage unit with a play structure? Ask Koichiro Hoshino from Tokyo University of the Arts. The designer created the Casaurus, a dinosaur shapped bookshelf as part of his senior thesis project and man oh man is it ever cool! This dinosaur offers a tail-like slide for children as well as plenty of shelves and small boxes – all of which are made for climbing. There is even a reading nook located underneath the dinosaur’s belly!

If I only had the space for something like this. I think play/organizational structures are a brilliant way to encourage children to clean up as they play, don’t you?
