Hamburg’s Miniatur Wunderland Is The Largest Model Railway In The World

Plans to visit Germany? You are definitely going to want to check out the Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg’s historic warehouse district. This incredible village took over 500,000 hours to create and takes you through America, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Scandinavia in an extraordinary way. You can travel by land, air and sea thanks to tons of ships, 250 computer-controlled vehicles and 900 trains. There is even a commercial airport with over 40 planes, and yes it is fully functional!

In 2020, they will complete the final construction phase spanning over 10,000 m. So far the train track length is 13,000 meters and they have plans to increase that to over 20,000. They will be adding Italy, France in the very near future.
