Food Friday Featuring: Recipe For Taco Pizza ~ Vegetarian & Chicken Versions

Mexican food and pizza are my midweek go-to meals to satisfy my fickle family. We have vegetarians, a meat eater, and little ones who all need to be accommodated and today’s recipe does just that.  Kid friendly and versatile, the taco pizza is an easy, delicious family meal that doesn’t require much thought or time.  There are many variations of the “taco pizza” which is what I love about it.   I used Naan bread for my pizza crusts and was able to make a vegetarian option and a chicken pizza for my husband, without any extra fuss.


  • 1 package of Naan Bread (this worked great as a pizza crust! Held up to the loads of toppings and was the perfect size for individual pizzas)
  • 1 can of refried beans
  • Taco seasoning to taste
  • 1 cup grape tomatoes
  • Mozzarella cheese to taste
  • 1 avocado diced
  • 1 skinless/boneless chicken breast cut into bite sized pieces
  • Cilantro to taste


  1. Pre-heat oven to 400F
  2. Spread re-fried beans onto Naan Bread
  3. Saute chicken with taco seasoning
  4. Add other toppings to pizza as desired
  5. Place directly on middle oven rack for 10-14 minutes
