The Halloween Face Paint “10 dazzling colours” – distrubuted by Handee Products Inc. of Montreal, Quebec – includes 10 crayons of various colours and can be identified by the item number HA1056 and the universal product code (UPC) 064049440562 located at the back of the package. There were approximately 4,858 of the recalled face paints were sold in Canada from January 2010 to October 2012.

It has been recalled after Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program determined that this item contains high levels of lead. The use of the product on the face near the mouth can result in the product being accidentally ingested and cause harmful levels of lead to accumulate in the body. Excessive levels of lead can lead to serious health problems.
