What Do Running Shoes, Oscar de la Renta & Jewelry Have In Common?

They are out to fight Breast Cancer! Tomorrow marks the last day of Breast Cancer awareness month and there are several businesses who are donating proceeds from sales to help fight this disease.

Due to the terrible disaster caused in New York City thanks to Hurricane Sandy, I’m pretty sure that The Pink Shop has closed, but figured I would mention it anyways as you can still purchase online. For National Breast Cancer awareness month, Oscar de la Renta will donate 10% of its net proceeds from “The Pink Shop” to The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering from October 10 through October 31.

The Pink Shop exists on www.oscardelarenta.com and at the Madison Avenue boutique (772 Madison Avenue).

New Balance Canada continues its support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation with the latest Lace Up for the Cure collection 860 running shoe. The program has entered into its tenth year in 2012 and aims to drive awareness of the benefits of an active lifestyle in reducing the risk of developing breast cancer. 15% of net proceeds, with a minimum of $25,000 and maximum of $40,000, will be donated to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Since the program’s inception and New Balance Canada’s partnership with the foundation in 2003, the Lace Up for the Cure program has raised over $230,000 for CBCF.

And last but not least, one of my favourite jewelry companies, Isabelle Grace has added four new lovely pieces to their Breast Cancer collection. Each piece adds a layer of significance to the life of someone affected by breast cancer or someone close to a person who has battled the disease. Those pieces include the  Horseshoe NecklaceLove Lets You SoarLive, Laugh, Love, the Nugget Charm Necklace, the Butterfly Breast Cancer Necklace, the Survivor and the Hope necklace.
