Introducing tabeo: The New Wi-Fi Tablet For Kids From Toys ‘R’ Us
Last week Toys”R”Us provided information on “taboo” their brand new tablet – the first wi-fi tablet designed by the kids’ authority. Measuring just 7-inches, this multi-touch tablet features 50 free, preinstalled apps that were carefully selected to entertain and educate children, while helping them explore the Internet.
The device is set up with a full array of parental controls that can be tailored depending on the level of security you are looking for (you can have different levels for up to 8 users). If your child finds a site that they want to visit, they can send a request to their parents to unblock that specific webpage.
For parents who want to limit their child’s online time, tabeo can be set to only allow access on certain days or during certain hours. As an added bonus, if users bypass tabeo‘s built-in Internet browser, parents will receive an email alert to notify them that their children may browsing in an unfiltered environment.
The tabeo comes with 20 included games including: Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja, Cut the Rope, Temple Run, 100 Floors, Collapse!, Tiki Golf, Tiki Cart 3D , AlphaTots, Discovery Kids Putterbugs, Operation Math and TechCalc, Putt Putt Zoo, Freddy Fish and the Stolen Shell, Camera App, iStorybooks, Candy Factory are just some of the apps included on the device and over 7,000 free apps can be downloaded for free through the taboo App store. The taboo comes with 4GB of internal flash memory and is shipped with a lime green bumper to prevent bangs and bumps.
Tabeo will be available exclusively at Toys”R”Us stores nationwide starting October 21 for $149.99 and is now available for pre-order online at Toysrus.com. More information may be found at tabeo.com.
