Fall is officially here and the winter wardrobe is making an appearance in our closets. Although I love the autumn it seems as though it snuck up on me this year. Maybe it’s because I was so busy “doing” all summer long that I didn’t see it coming. Sigh. All things come to an end I guess!
Knit sweaters are my favorite for babies. My grandmother knit me and each one of my siblings a full layette before we were born. I remember sitting with her as she knit sweaters, booties and hats for each one of them. I admired the lacy work so much and hoped that one day I would be able to do the same for my own kids. Unfortunately I never did find the time to make those sweaters, but my grandma gifted me with a full set for my eldest. It meant more than words could really say. There is nothing like those handmade sweaters.
