The Travel Friendly Photo App That Keeps Kids Busy & Entertained

While travelling on the road this summer, my kids have had plenty of time (hours) to keep themselves entertained and busy. Although I like to keep screen time to a minimum, the iPad is one techie gadget that we like to bring with us as it doubles up as a movie player, educator and entertainer.

One app that we have had quite a bit of fun with is the The Kraft Foods Photo Booth app housed on the GoldRun platform (you have to search and download GoldRun in iTunes). Once you have downloaded the GoldRun app, look under the ‘campaigns’ section there you will find the Kraft Foods Photobooth. Basically, it is a photo booth with props from OREO, Mr. Planters, Kool-Aid and other fun products. After using it for the past 2 weeks my kids have finally got over their giggling fits, but still find it highly entertaining.

And I… well I’ve had some fun using it as well ;).

The GoldRun app is available on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4/4S, iPad 2, 3, 3G, and all standard Android devices. This app is completely free and you can download it through iTunes or Android App Store. Once you take a photo it is saved in your Photos folder on your iPad. You can also use the app to connect to both Facebook and/or Twitter to share your fun photos with family and friends.

If you want to see some of the other photos people have shared through Twitter search for the hashtag #KraftPhotoBooth, or include it in your tweet to share yours as well.

Disclosure: Kraft Foods has provided me with an iPad 3 for this program at no cost to me. I was not paid for this post. All thoughts and opinions expressed above are mine alone.

Kids now a days know how to use these apps, it’s crazy. I gave my granddaughter my iphone to play with when she was in her bassinet and I swear if she didn’t know what she was doing it was an uncanny coincidence..! Anyways, I’m going to go ahead and look into these apps, thanks!
