After being dubbed “an artistic genius” by The Discovery Channel and having made several appearances on several television shows and news programs, Autumn de Forest is already highly recognized as a professional artist at the ripe age of 10-years-old. She has traveled throughout the country visiting global corporations, universities, charities, and organizations of all kinds, and has passionately spread a message to thousands on the importance of keeping the arts in schools.
The young artist’s pieces grace collections worldwide, with some commanding up to $25,000. She was the youngest artist ever featured at the National Art Education Association’s annual convention, where she appeared along with art world legends such as Peter Max and Chuck Close. Matt Lauer interviewed Autumn on the Today Show, The Discovery Channel profiled her as a child genius, and many other television programs featured the young talent, including Inside Edition, ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC News. American Girl Magazine, Parenting, and Huffington Post are just a few of the publications that have spotlighted Autumn.
Autumn has made her very first solo gallery appearance to Stone Harbor, NJ when Ocean Galleries is hosting “Child Prodigy: A diverse collection of artwork by Autumn de Forest”. The exhibition opens at Ocean Galleries (9618 Third Avenue, Stone Harbor) on Friday, August 3, 2012 and runs through Sunday, August 12, 2012. The exhibition will include nearly 100 pieces of art by Autumn, including numerous seashore themed paintings created specifically for the event.
