Since our last trip to Disney World, there have been only 2 pairs of shoes on my daughters feet, shoes which have taken her from the school and playground to the pool and the ocean. pediped introduced a line of ‘Adventure shoes‘ last year and released a limited amount of different colours and styles for kids up to a size 2 Youth.
Although I had heard great things about these shoes, I didn’t get to try them out firsthand until now. The Flex Minnie (pictured above) is a great choice for the summer and keeps toes safe thanks to the closed toe. The sides have breathable mesh to keep your daughter cool and the velcro strap helps for easy removal. You may also notice the rubber protective toe caps. My eldest has a habit of stubbing her toes ALL THE TIME. I don’t know how she manages on doing it so often, but she does. Thanks to the toe cap, her toes have never looked better! They should be mandatory on all kids shoes I think…
The Dakota Chiffon provide the same sort of idea as they can be washed in the machine and are completely water-safe for beach or pool play, however these shoes are more of a rugged style. I would compare them to a summer sneaker rather than a sandal. The sole is a little thicker and the overall shoe is more solid. These have been my daughter’s gym shoe of choice for the remainder of her school year.
The Adventure line has an assortment of different styles for boys and girls ranging in price from around $49.00-$58.00 USD. My daughter is very hard on her shoes and clothing, so we had already gone through several pairs of various branded shoes in the last little while. These pedipeds are holding their own though and show no signs of wear as of yet, so I’m sure they will be one of the few that get passed down to my middle child.
*Thank you to pediped for sending us these shoes for consideration!*
