The Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport is one of the busiest airports in the United States as well as one of the newest airports in North America. I had a layover at this airport and after flying in to Concourse A, had to make my way to Concourse B in order to make the second leg of my flight. Imagine my surprise when I was greeted to an incredible light and music show in the colorful Light Tunnel.
This tunnel connects both the Concourse A with Concourse B/C in the McNamara Terminal. In what you could describe as a cross between a Sci-Fi light show and the Northern Lights, multi-colored lights dance and move across the tunnel in a choreographed musical show. It really is something to behold! Every child that was traveling through that tunnel was mesmerized by the show.
If you are flying into Concourse A and need to make your way to the other side of the airport, or if you have some time to kill in between flights this is definitely something to look forward to! A family-friendly feature that is sure to please kids and adults of all ages.
