Soleil Moon Frye Offers Tips On Avoiding The ‘Summer Slide’ With Your Kids

by Nadia Carriere on June 13, 2012

Today marks my daughter’s graduation from Senior Kindergarten and although we still have a couple of more weeks left in our school year, I am already starting to make lists of things to do and places to go to keep the kids busy until September.

One of our favorite celebrity mamas, Target’s Mom Ambassador Soleil Moon Frye, took some time out of her busy schedule to chat with us about how to make sure your children avoid the ‘Summer Slide’.

Soleil is well known for her run on the Punky Brewster television series and for her role as Roxie King on Sabrina, The Teenage Witch. Fast forward to 2012, and Soleil is one busy mama! Between running Little Seed with her business partner Paige Goldberg Tolmach, her successful children’s specialty boutique carrying eco-friendly and organic products, and raising her two beautiful girls Poet and Jagger, with husband Jason Goldberg, she certainly has her hands full.

Soleil chatted with us over video last week, providing tips, tricks and even naming off some of her favorite children’s books.

How are you planning on keeping your kids busy this summer? Would love to hear your thoughts and tips!

Book shopping is one of my favourite things to do, which is why I’m excited to be giving away a $50 Target gift card and 10 children’s books to one of our readers!

Target is providing a Child Mode reader with a $50 Target giftcard and 10 books (age-appropriate for your child). This sweepstakes is only open to U.S. residents 18 years or older and ends on 6/23/2012. Please note that they cannot ship the product to a P.O. Box. Enter on the Rafflecopter form below:
