Evenflo Recalls 35,000 Convertible High Chairs Due To Fall Hazard

Check your high chairs! The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Evenflo have issued a recall of about 35,000 convertible high chairs due to the hazard of the activity tray on the high chair can unexpectedly detach and allow an unrestrained child to fall, posing a risk of injury to the child.

So far, Evenflo has received 18 reports of trays that detached, including eight reports of children who fell from the high chair and sustained bumps and bruises.

The following models were sold in Toys “R” Us and Walmart stores nationwide and online at Walmart.com and Wayfair.com between December 2011 and June 2012 for about $40.
