My son is currently at the age where bath time is the best time in the world. He opens his chubby little hands up and hits the water palms down making the biggest splashes he can while giggling in the midst of it, completely oblivious to whether or not he gets water in his eyes. There is an absolute look of wonder in his face every time he gets in that tub, which makes me incredibly happy and yet melencholy at the same time as I know that these magical moments won’t be around much longer.
He is currently at the age where a toy is mesmerizing. He slowly reaches out to touch it, examines it, turns it around… and then puts promptly puts it in his mouth before taking it out again and going through the entire sequence yet again. The toys he finds the most appealing are brightly colored figures covered in stripes or dots, like these Finding Nemo Bath Toys.
Or these Winnie The Pooh Squirtees, which come in a pack of three ensuring that all three kids can each play with their own without any fighting (I’m speaking from experience here).
When it comes to soap and bubbles, natural is the only way we go and I like to buy products that we can all use. When you have a few kids, keeping a separate set of soap and bubbles for the baby is next to impossible as they all want to use it. Basq is one of my own personal favorites, as I used their products through my second and third pregnancy, so when I heard they were partnering with Disney, I was super excited. The It’s A Small World Gift Set is natural, luxurious and great for the entire family.
Babies who love the water might find the brightly colored, character/themed towels appealing enough to actually get out of the tub with a smile. My son cries every time I take him out unless there is some kind of distraction, so I like to use the hood on hooded towels as a puppet of sorts to distract him. A hooded towel is a must-have for bathing babies and dries them off promptly like it’s nobodies business.
