Paul McCartney and his daughters Stella and Mary founded an initiative/charity called Meat Free Monday a couple of years ago as a way to encourage people to remove meat from their diets just one day a week. By making this change and encouraging families to eat more vegetables, people are making a difference in their health as well as for our planet. The UN’s Top climate scientist Rajendra Pachauri states that “People should consider eating less meat as a way of combating global warming. UN figures suggest that meat production puts more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere than transport.”
In order to support this cause even further, Stella has introduced a special ‘Meat Free Monday’ fashion line for her children’s collection. Each piece is made from 100% organic cotton and a percentage of the sale from each piece will go towards the Meat Free Monday Campaign.
The line consists of tees and sweatshirts, dresses and baby pieces featuring a technicolor design on the front. The dress has already sold out, however there are still a few pieces available for those interested in purchasing. You can find the entire collection through Stella McCartney Kids (they ship worldwide).
