Maclaren Introduces The Globetrotter Stroller ~ Their Lightest Reclining Stroller

I had the chance to stop into Maclaren’s showroom a couple of weeks ago during my stay in New York City and was introduced to several of their new products that will be hitting stores this year. The one that had me really excited was their latest stroller, the Globetrotter. Weighing in at 10.6 lbs (without the hood, shopping basket or rain cover) this is their lightest reclining buggy to date. The Volo stroller is their lightest (8.8 lbs) but doesn’t offer a recline, something that is preferred especially when you are pushing a toddler!

The Globetrotter is appropriate from 6 months and up and features multiple seat recline positions as well as a square, extra large hood for maximum coverage. The stroller is available in Black, Crown Blue, Scarlet and Festival Fuchsia.

This stroller also meets Maclaren’s new 2012 Global Safety Standard. In case you aren’t familiar with this, for 2012 all Maclaren buggies will now meet or exceed the highest safety standards mandated anywhere in the world.

The Globetrotter launches this month, so keep your eyes peeled! It will be available for $160.00 through Maclaren.

I have a question, does this stroller actually recline like go all the way back when the baby falls asleep? I’m asking because i bought several strollers that says recline and it just adjust, so I had to send it back. Very frustrating!
