Vogue Bambini & petiteParade Debut Fall/Winter 2012 During NY Kids Fashion Week
My son made his first red carpet debut a couple of weeks ago during Kids Fashion week in New York City while attending Vogue Bambini and petiteParade’s two day fashion show where many of our favourite designers dressed up pint-sized fashionistas and showed off their latest creations on a “snow” covered runway, the perfect set-up for Fall-Winter.
The two day runway showcase was very well done and featured designers such as Andrew&Audrey, Beatrix New York, Ce Ce Co, Imoga, Little Trendstar, Liv and Lily, Mali Kids, Millions of Colors, Snopea, Umi, Y-3 Kids and Zutano), Miss Blumarine Jeans & Ki6, Baby CZ, Il Gufo, Lamantine Paris, Bonnie Young.
A second Runway Showcase featured Monnalisa, Miss Grant, Silvian Heach, Aston Martin, Sarabanda and TroiZenfants.
DJ Fulano (officially THE cutest DJ) spinned some tunes during the show and had the kids dancing up a storm at the end of the fashion preview. Look for our interview with this talented young man in the next couple of days!
Magical fairy nymph like hair styles complimented the stand out designs of Lamantine Paris, and elegant winter whites and creams reigned supreme with Bonnie Young’s insanely gorgeous collection. Other trends to look for this fall include fur, shaggy details, animal prints, puffy coats and .
I had the chance to meet the lovely Robert and Cortney Novogratz, the brilliant design duo on Home By Novogratz on HGTZ. Their daughter and sons were modeling during the show on Saturday and Sunday so it was a treat to finally meet them in person. The children of Heather Thomson and Aviva Drescher, two of the Real Housewives of New York were also on the runway.
It was truly an honour to meet with the Giuliana Parabiago, the Editor In Chief of Vogue Bambini.
During the intermission between each show, kids had an opportunity to visit the Milk & Hunny booth where the designer of the brand Jena Scaccetti, supervised as kids made their very own custom Milk & Hunny Vans Sneakers and tees. Kids decorated their creations with paint, glitter, rhinestones and markers before taking them home.
Treats included mini cupcakes from Baked by Melissa (the best cupcake bakery in NYC in my humble opinion) and plenty of refreshments for the kids as well as mini glasses of champagne for adults.
