Target Announces The Location Of Its First 24 Canadian Stores

Pretty soon, us Canadians will no longer need to rely on the help of our American friends to snag the latest designer collaborations from Target – such as this fab new Jason Wu for Target collection (swoon!) – because as you may or may not already be aware, the chain has plans on coming to the Great White North!
A couple of days ago, Target Corporation announced the location of its first 24 stores in Ontario. The plan is to eventually open between 125 to 135 stores across Canada.
Target plans to open stores in the following locations in March/early April 2013:

  • Kawartha Lakes, Lindsay Square Mall
  • Newmarket, Upper Canada Mall
  • Milton, Milton Mall Shopping Centre
  • Cambridge, Cambridge Centre
  • Toronto, Centrepoint Mall
  • Mississauga, Square One Shopping Centre
  • Ajax, Durham Centre
  • Orillia, Orillia Square Mall
  • Brampton, Shoppers World Brampton
  • London, Masonville Place
  • Windsor, Devonshire Mall
  • Toronto, Cloverdale Mall
  • Toronto, Shoppers World Danforth
  • Burlington, Burlington Mall
  • Toronto, East York Town Centre
  • Aurora, Aurora Shopping Centre
  • Fergus, Gates of Fergus
  • Hamilton, Centre Mall
  • Guelph, Stone Road Mall
  • Burlington, Millcroft Centre

Target will be investing between $10 million and $11 million to remodel each old Zellers facility. They intend to announce additional store locations in the coming months.
